Bold Type

Join Kickstarter and étapes: for a celebration of typography in France.

Get started

Kickstarter and étapes: are teaming up for a celebration of French typography. If you’re based in France, join us by launching a Kickstarter campaign between September 1 and October 31. We’ll be highlighting new typography projects and sharing them across the globe.

Whether you want to create a new font, design unique type specimen posters, or print a set of typographic postcards, look to these successfully funded projects for guidance on how to launch one of your own.

How to Participate

If you’d like to participate in the Bold Type initiative, just follow these guidelines:

1. Start a project in the Design category, and select Typography as your subcategory

2. Set the duration of your campaign to 30 days or fewer

3. Launch your project between September 1 and October 31

4. Email typographie@kickstarter.com to let us know about your project once it’s live
